June 26th, 2022 JCM Letter to Parents

Dear JCM Parents,

Now that our Spring semester at JCM is coming to an end, that means we’re getting ready for summer here too! VBS and Bible Feasts, ahoy! As we prepare exciting things for JCM, we pray that every day, be it rain or shine, our JCM families are having an exciting time with God too!

Here is what you need to know for tomorrow!

1. Offline and Online Worship!
- OFFLINE worship is available at our church!! We will still provide our ONLINE LIVESTREAM worship too~ If you can, please let your children come to our OFFLINE worship~!! (Of course, if the student isn't feeling well, we recommend that they participate in our Online Livestream service at home instead.)

2. Bringing physical Bibles!
Here at JCM, we encourage the children to get their hands on a Bible and become familiar with it by having them read the Scripture from it every week. Please make sure your children bring their own English bible to service this Sunday!

3. The Importance of Quiet Time
We would like to remind parents that doing the QT books DAILY and REFLECTING on them is part of the “Daily Deeds for Jesus” homework. We ask for your cooperation so that your signatures on the “Daily Deeds for Jesus” are CONFIRMING that the children are actually spending some time with the Lord on a daily basis, not just on Sundays in church. Thank you!

4. 2022 VBS Registration!
2022 VBS registrations are open! If you are interested in signing your children up for them, please fill out the google form below, and feel free to contact Pastor Hannah or any of the teachers for further information!

5. Bible Feast!
Every year, after every semester, JCM holds a Bible memorization contest called a Bible Feast, making sure that what the Bible tells us is engraved in the hearts of our children! This upcoming July is when one will happen, and we ask that you encourage your children to be prepared to show how much of God’s Word they’ve let themselves feast on~ A sheet will be provided for the children to take home on Sunday, and a digital one will be made available at the JCM website before the day is over!

JCM 부모님들께,

저희 JCM에는 봄학기가 끝나가면서, 여름활동 준비를 하고 있습니다! VBS와 Bible Feast가 다가오니, 아들들이 여름에는 바쁘겠네요! 저희가 열심히 준비하면서, 저희 JCM 가족분들이 청양에 불구하고 하나님 안에 즐거운 시간을 가지길 기도합니다!

내일 예배 관련 몇 가지 공지사항들을 전달합니다:

1. 저희 부서 현장예배는 계속 드려집니다!
- 지금 상황으로는 현장예배가 가능합니다! 그래도 온라인 생중계 예배는 계속 제공이 되오니, 현장 예배에 참석하시지 못하는 학생들은 온라인 생중계 예배를 통해 예배에 참여하시면 됩니다. 가능하시다면, 현장예배에 와서 함께 예배했으면 좋겠습니다~!! (혹시나 몸이 좋지 않은 학생들은 집에서 온라인 예배에 참여할 것을 권장합니다.)

2. 성경책 가져오기!
JCM에서는 아이들이 실제 성경책을 다루면서 거기서 성경 구절을 읽게 합니다. 그래서 가능하다면, 주일에 아이들이 영어 성경책을 가져올 수 있게 해주세요. 만약 영어 성경책이 없으시다면, 저희에게 문의해주시면 됩니다!

3. QT의 중요성
부모님, 저희가 아이들에게 주는 숙제, “Daily Deeds for Jesus”에서 메일 QT하는 것이 중요하다는 것을 아실 거라고 믿습니다. 이 숙제는 아이들이 QT를 통해서 주일에만 아니라, 매일 하나님과 시간을 보내는 목적이 있습니다. 부모님께서 아이들과 같이하고, 아이들이 실제도 QT를 매일 했는지 확인해주신 후 서명을 해주시면 감사하겠습니다.

4. 2022 VBS 신청
2022년 VBS는 8월에 진행됩니다. 아래에 구글 양식을 작성해 주세요. VBS와 관련하여 더 궁금한 부분이 있으면 한나 전도사님이나 각 반 선생님들에게 언제든 문의 주시면 감사하겠습니다.

5. Bible Feast!
JCM에서 매년, 학기후에 진행되는 성경구절 암기 콘테스트, Bible Feast가 곳 시작합니다! 하나님의 말씀을 아이들이 마음속에 새기는 것이 중요하지만, 즐겁게도 하는 것입니다! 이번에는 7월에 진행할 것이며, 아이들이 성경구절을 얼마나 잘 외우는지 기대가 됩니다! 이번 주일에도 나눌 애정이자만, 오늘안으로도 JCM 웹사이트에 성경구절을 통합한 파일을 올리겠습니다!
