May 25th, 2025 JCM Letter to Parents

Dear JCM Parents,
We pray for all of our JCM families, and start the last Sunday of May at JCM by starting with a new unit, continuing to follow the journey of the apostle Paul, and seeing the dangers he faced as he shared God’s Word during the days of the early church! May we also be able to also have faith and courage when we do God’s good work!

Here is what you need to know for this Sunday (4 items)~

1. Bookmark the Bible!
Parents and guardians, we ask you to help the children prepare for JCM by bookmarking the Bible passage we will read this week! For this Sunday’s service, we will read parts of Acts 23 together!

2. No JCM Bible Service (June 1st)
SaRang church will be holding its yearly, all-generational service (온세대연합예배) on June 1st (not this week but next week!), and so JCM will not be holding Sunday service on that day. Please note that this means for June, newcomers will be interviewed on the following week, June 8th!

3. JCM Hearts to Help Project (until end of the Year)
It’s important to live out the lessons we learn! In an effort to practice the spirit of generosity that Paul advises us, JCM will be running a charity drive lasting until the end of the year, starting this week! Here is what the children will be doing for this project:
a. Choose a person/place who will receive the donation
b. Donate spare pocket change for the cause
c. At the end of the year, see how much they’ve practiced their collective generosity for a good cause!
The children will be encouraged to practice generosity with others, and to see what it means to give with love through this project!

4. JCM Mini Bible Feast Notice
On the last Sunday of June (29th), JCM will be holding its annual Mini Bible Feast! Children will be tested on all the theme verses that have come out since the beginning of the semester, and of course, a handout will be made available for the children soon!

JCM 부모님께,
5월의 마지막 주일, 사도 바울의 여정을 따라가며 초대 교회 시대에 하나님의 말씀을 전할 때 직면했던 위험들을 살펴보며 새로운 유닛으로 시작하는 JCM의 모든 가족들을 위해 기도합니다! 우리도 하나님의 선한 일을 할 때 믿음과 용기를 가질 수 있기를 바랍니다!

이번 주일에 알아야 할 내용은 다음과 같습니다 (총4개)~
1. 주일말씀 미리 찾기
부모님과 보호자 여러분, 이번 주에 읽을 성경 구절을 북마크해서 아이들이 JCM을 준비할 수 있도록 도와주세요! 이번 주일 예배에서는 부분적으로 <사도행정 23장> 읽을 것입니다!

2. JCM 주일예배 없음 (6월 1일)
사랑교회는 매년에 하는 온세대연합예배를 6월 1일(이번 주가 아닌 다음 주!)에 드리게 되어, 당일에 JCM은 주일예배를 드리지 않습니다. 이에 따라 6월 Newcomers 면접은 다음 주인 6월 8일에 진행되오니 참고하시기 바랍니다!

3. JCM Hearts to Help 프로젝트
우리가 배운 교훈을 실천하는 것이 중요합니다! 바울이 우리에게 조언한 베품의 정신을 실천하기 위해 JCM은 이번주부터 연말까지 자선 캠페인을 진행할 예정입니다! 이 프로젝트를 위해 아이들이 할 일은 다음과 같습니다:
a. 기부금을 받을 사람/장소를 선택합니다.
b. 자투리 용돈을 기부합니다.
c. 연말에 아이들이 좋은 일을 위해 얼마나 많은 기부하는 마음 키워졌는지 확인할 겁니다!
아이들은 이 프로젝트를 통해 다른 사람들과 함께 기부하는 마음(generosity)을 실천하고 사랑으로 베푸는 것이 어떤 의미인지 알게 될 것입니다!

4. JCM Mini Bible Feast 안내
6월 마지막 주일(29일)에 JCM에서 매년 열리는 Mini Bible Feast가 열립니다! 아이들은 학기 초부터 나온 모든 Theme Verse에 대해 시험을 보게 될 것이며, 그리고 곧 어린이들을 위한 인쇄물이 제공될 것입니다!
