September 15th, 2024 JCM Letter to Parents

Dear JCM Parents,
Happy Holidays! For many families in Korea, Chuseok is a beloved holiday to spend with loved ones, and we hope that all of our JCM families have a good time together! For those who are coming to JCM this week, though, we will have our regular service time without small groups, so please take note! No matter where you are, we pray that you are spending in love, joy, and peace with God this week!

Here is what you need to know for tomorrow (3 items)!

1. Bookmark the Bible!
Parents and guardians, we ask you to help get the children to look up and bookmark the bible passage before the JCM Sunday service begins! This Sunday’s lesson will cover Exodus 15:22–17:7, so we ask the children to bookmark Exodus chapter 15!

2. JCM Fall 4th-5th Grade DT Training
This is an early notice that there will be a 12-week Discipleship training for 4th-5th graders available this semester on Saturday mornings, and signups are open now!

3. !IMPORTANT! JCM Service Time Change for 2025
In 2025, JCM will be changing its service time from 12:10 pm to 10 am, for the betterment of our JCM families and the English ministries. This change will occur at the beginning of the year, though the end of the winter semester for JCM will be at the end of January. For parents whose children are attending both JCM and the Korean Sunday schools, please take note of this change for your plans next year!

즐거운 한가위 되세요! 한국의 많은 가족들에게 추석은 소중한 사람들과 함께 보내는 사랑스러운 명절이며, 모든 JCM 가족들이 함께 즐거운 시간을 보내시길 바랍니다! 하지만 이번 주에 JCM에 오시는 분들을 위해 소그룹 없이 정규 예배 시간을 가질 예정이니 참고해 주세요! 여러분이 어디에 계시든, 이번 주에 하나님과 함께 사랑과 기쁨과 평화 가운데 보내시길 기도합니다!

1. 주일말씀 미리 찾기
부모님과 보호자 여러분, JCM 주일 예배가 시작되기 전에 아이들이 성경 구절을 찾아 북마크할 수 있도록 많은 도움을 부탁드립니다! 이번 주일 공과는 출애굽기 15:22&#8211;17:7절을 다룰 예정이니, 아이들이 <출애굽기 15장> 을 북마크에 추가하도록 해주세요!

2. JCM 가을 DT 훈련
이번 학기 토요일 오전에 초등학교 4~5학년을 위한 12주 제자 훈련이 진행되며, 지금 바로 등록할 수 있다는 소식을 알려드립니다!

3. !중요! 2025 JCM 서비스 시간 변경
2025년에는 JCM 가족들과 영어 사역을 위해 예배 시간을 오후 12시 10분에서 오전 10시로 변경할 예정입니다. 이 변경은 연초에 시행될 예정이지만 JCM의 겨울 학기는 1월 말에 끝납니다. 자녀가 JCM과 한국어 주일학교에 모두 다니고 있는 부모님들은 내년 계획을 세울 때 이 변경 사항을 참고하시기 바랍니다!
