April 27th, 2025 JCM Letter to Parents

Dear JCM Parents,
We hope that your children enjoyed the Easter Picnic/Egg Hunt last week, and pray that you and your family continue to find comfort and strength in the Lord throughout your days! This week’s lesson in JCM is one on GENEROSITY, and the right kind of attitude we should have for it as brothers and sisters in Christ. Jesus showed us what generosity looks like when He gave up His life to save us from sin. Because of Jesus, we can be like Him and be merciful and generous to others too!

Here is what you need to know for this Sunday (2 items)~
1. Bookmark the Bible!
Parents and guardians, we ask you to help the children prepare for JCM by bookmarking the Bible passage we will read this week! For this Sunday’s service, we will read 2 Corinthians 9:6-9!

2. JCM Hearts to Help Project
It’s important to live out the lessons we learn! In an effort to practice the spirit of generosity that Paul advises us, JCM will be running a charity drive lasting until the end of the year, starting next week! Here is what the children will be doing for this project:
a. Choose a person/place who will receive the donation
b. Donate spare pocket change for the cause
c.At the end of the year, see how much they’ve practiced their collective generosity for a good cause!
The children will be encouraged to practice generosity with others, and to see what it means to give with love through this project!

3. Newcomer Interviews (Monthly!)
We interview JCM hopefuls on the first Sunday of every month! If you are interested in having your child join JCM, please be aware that the children will need to go through an interview process, and as the parent, do the following:
a. Notify teachers near the S602 Hall entrance of your child’s desire to join JCM.
b. Ensure your child attends the entire service on the first Sunday of the month, not just arriving in time for the interview.

JCM 부모님께,
바울은 초대 교회에 보낸 편지를 통해 그리스도인으로 산다는 것은 로마 제국이나 자신의 사역을 반대하는 사람들이 아니라 악과의 영적 전투에 대비하는 것을 의미한다는 것을 알고 있었습니다. 그는 하나님의 갑옷을 예로 들어 신자들도 영적 전투를 준비하도록 도왔습니다! 그러나 무엇보다도 우리는 이미 예수님이 승리하신 전쟁을 치르고 있다는 사실을 상기시켜 줍니다!

이번 주일에 알아야 할 내용은 다음과 같습니다 (총2개)~
1. 주일말씀 미리 찾기
부모님과 보호자 여러분, 이번 주에 읽을 성경 구절을 북마크해서 아이들이 JCM을 준비할 수 있도록 도와주세요! 이번 주일 예배에서는 <고린도후서9:6-9> 읽을 것입니다!

2. JCM Hearts to Help 프로젝트
우리가 배운 교훈을 실천하는 것이 중요합니다! 바울이 우리에게 조언한 베품의 정신을 실천하기 위해 JCM은 다음 주부터 연말까지 자선 캠페인을 진행할 예정입니다! 이 프로젝트를 위해 아이들이 할 일은 다음과 같습니다:
a. 기부금을 받을 사람/장소를 선택합니다.
b. 자투리 용돈을 기부합니다.
c. 연말에 아이들이 좋은 일을 위해 얼마나 많은 기부하는 마음 키워졌는지 확인할 겁니다!
아이들은 이 프로젝트를 통해 다른 사람들과 함께 기부하는 마음(generosity)을 실천하고 사랑으로 베푸는 것이 어떤 의미인지 알게 될 것입니다!

3. 신인 인터뷰 (월간!)
매월 첫째 주 주일에 JCM 희망자를 인터뷰합니다! 자녀를 JCM에 보내고 싶은 부모님께서는 자녀가 면접 과정을 거쳐야 한다는 점에 유의해 주시기 바라며, 부모님으로서 다음과 같이 하시기를 바랍니다:
a. S602홀 입구 근처에 있는 교사에게 자녀가 JCM에 참여하고 싶다는 의사를 알려주세요.
b. 자녀가 인터뷰 시간에 맞춰 도착하는 것뿐만 아니라 매월 첫째 주 일요일 전체 예배에 참석하도록 합니다.
