May 18th, 2025 JCM Letter to Parents

Dear JCM Parents,
It feels like we are getting a hint of the Korean monsoon/rainy season this week, our prayers are with you and your families as you battle through nature’s version of a shower! This week in JCM, we will learn about Heroes of Faith in the Bible, where Paul shows the early church how people of old acted on the faith they had in God!

Here is what you need to know for this Sunday (4 items)~

1. Bookmark the Bible!
Parents and guardians, we ask you to help the children prepare for JCM by bookmarking the Bible passage we will read this week! For this Sunday’s service, we will read parts of Hebrews 11 together!

2. No JCM Bible Study this week
JCM will be celebrating Teacher’s Day, and while we will have service as usual, we will NOT be having bible study for the kids this week, you can pick up your kids as early as 11 AM this Sunday (for Korean main service attendees, we can care for the children until 11:20 AM)!

3. JCM Hearts to Help Project (until end of the Year)
It’s important to live out the lessons we learn! In an effort to practice the spirit of generosity that Paul advises us, JCM will be running a charity drive lasting until the end of the year, starting this week! Here is what the children will be doing for this project:
a. Choose a person/place who will receive the donation
b. Donate spare pocket change for the cause
c. At the end of the year, see how much they’ve practiced their collective generosity for a good cause!
The children will be encouraged to practice generosity with others, and to see what it means to give with love through this project!

4. No JCM service (June 1st)
SaRang Church will be having its yearly all-generation service on June 1st, and as a result, JCM will not have service on that day, please take note!

2025년 5월18일 JCM 부모님 안내문

JCM 부모님께,
이번 주에는 한국의 장마가 예고편을 느끼게되는 것 같은데요, 자연의 샤워를 이겨내는 여러분과 여러분의 가족을 위해 기도합니다! 이번 주 JCM에서는 성경 속 믿음의 영웅들에 대해 배우며, 바울이 초대 교회에 옛 사람들이 하나님을 믿는 믿음으로 어떻게 행동했는지 보여줄 것입니다!

이번 주일에 알아야 할 내용은 다음과 같습니다 (총4개)~
1. 주일말씀 미리 찾기
부모님과 보호자 여러분, 이번 주에 읽을 성경 구절을 북마크해서 아이들이 JCM을 준비할 수 있도록 도와주세요! 이번 주일 예배에서는 부분적으로 <히브리서 11장> 읽을 것입니다!

2. 이번 주 JCM 성경공부 없음
JCM은 스승의 날을 기념하여 평소와 같이 예배를 드리지만, 이번 주에는 성경공부를 하지 않으니 이번 주일은 오전 11시부터 아이들을 데리러 오실 수 있습니다 (한국 본 예배 참석자의 경우, 오전 11시 20분까지 아이들을 돌봐드릴 수 있습니다)!

3. JCM Hearts to Help 프로젝트
우리가 배운 교훈을 실천하는 것이 중요합니다! 바울이 우리에게 조언한 베품의 정신을 실천하기 위해 JCM은 이번주부터 연말까지 자선 캠페인을 진행할 예정입니다! 이 프로젝트를 위해 아이들이 할 일은 다음과 같습니다:
a. 기부금을 받을 사람/장소를 선택합니다.
b. 자투리 용돈을 기부합니다.
c. 연말에 아이들이 좋은 일을 위해 얼마나 많은 기부하는 마음 키워졌는지 확인할 겁니다!
아이들은 이 프로젝트를 통해 다른 사람들과 함께 기부하는 마음(generosity)을 실천하고 사랑으로 베푸는 것이 어떤 의미인지 알게 될 것입니다!

4. JCM 서비스 없음(6월 1일)
사랑교회는 6월 1일에 전세대 예배를 드리게 되어, 당일 JCM 예배가 없음을 알려드리오니 참고해 주시기 바랍니다.
