Dear JCM Parents,
Imagine going on a road trip that started way past the ideal date, with the weather turning awful midway through, losing your luggage, food, AND getting stuck in the middle of nowhere after the car breaks down. That was pretty much Paul’s situation when he went sailing for Rome. But Paul knew that God did not intend for his life to end there, and that is what the children will be learning about this week!

Here is what you need to know for this Sunday (4 items)~

1. Bookmark the Bible!
Parents and guardians, we ask you to help the children prepare for JCM by bookmarking the Bible passage we will read this week! For this Sunday’s service, we will read Acts 27:21-25 together!

3. JCM Mini Bible Feast Notice
The Bible Feast will be held NEXT WEEK (29th)! Please ensure your children practice memorizing all the JCM theme verses, and prepare to recite them next Sunday!

3. VBS Registration Pre-Notice
This year, JCM will be holding its VBS as a 2-day, 1-night trip on August 23rd and 24th, with online registration opening next week! Further details will be made available then, registration opens, so please take note!

4.JCM Hearts to Help Project (until the end of the Year)
It’s important to live out the lessons we learn! To practice the spirit of generosity that Paul advises us, JCM will be running a charity drive lasting until the end of the year, starting this week! Here is what the children will be doing for this project:
a. Choose a person/place that will receive the donation
b. Donate spare pocket change for the cause
c. At the end of the year, see how much they have practiced their collective generosity for a good cause!
The children will be encouraged to practice generosity with others, and to see what it means to give with love through this project!

5. Lost & Found Item Check
We will soon throw away any unclaimed items in our Lost & Found, so please check the items in the photo below!

JCM 부모님께,
출발 예정일을 한참 넘겨 자동차 여행을 떠났는데 도중에 날씨가 끔찍하게 변하고, 짐과 음식을 잃어버리고, 차가 고장 나서 오지에 갇혔다고 상상해 보세요. 바울이 로마를 향해 항해를 떠났을 때의 상황과 거의 비슷했습니다. 하지만 바울은 하나님께서 자신의 인생이 거기서 끝나도록 의도하지 않으셨다는 것을 알았고, 이번 주에 아이들이 배우게 될 내용이 바로 그것입니다!

이번 주일에 알아야 할 내용은 다음과 같습니다 (총5개)~
1. 주일말씀 미리 찾기
부모님과 보호자 여러분, 이번 주에 읽을 성경 구절을 북마크해서 아이들이 JCM을 준비할 수 있도록 도와주세요! 이번 주일 예배에서는 부분적으로 <사도행전27:21-25> 읽을 것입니다!

2. JCM Mini Bible Feast 안내
다음 주(29일) 바이블 페스트가 열립니다! 자녀들이 JCM 주제 구절을 모두 외우는 연습을 하고 다음 주일에 암송할 수 있도록 준비해 주세요!

3. VBS 등록 사전 공지
올해 JCM은 8월 23일과 24일 1박 2일 일정으로 VBS를 진행하며, 다음 주에 온라인 등록이 시작됩니다! 자세한 내용은 등록이 시작되면 그때 공개될 예정이니 참고해 주세요!

4. JCM Hearts to Help 프로젝트
우리가 배운 교훈을 실천하는 것이 중요합니다! 바울이 우리에게 조언한 베품의 정신을 실천하기 위해 JCM은 이번주부터 연말까지 자선 캠페인을 진행할 예정입니다! 이 프로젝트를 위해 아이들이 할 일은 다음과 같습니다:
a. 기부금을 받을 사람/장소를 선택합니다.
b. 자투리 용돈을 기부합니다.
c. 연말에 아이들이 좋은 일을 위해 얼마나 많은 기부하는 마음 키워졌는지 확인할 겁니다!
아이들은 이 프로젝트를 통해 다른 사람들과 함께 기부하는 마음(generosity)을 실천하고 사랑으로 베푸는 것이 어떤 의미인지 알게 될 것입니다!

5. 분실물 확인
분실물 센터에서 미 수령 물품은 곧 폐기할 예정이니 아래 사진의 물품을 확인해 주세요!
