Dear JCM Parents,
Happy Chuseok holidays everyone! No doubt, the extended holiday has allowed many families to enjoy the days off together, and we hope all of our JCM families will all another layer of lovely memories to add this year as well!
As the Koreans nationwide celebrate the holiday the traditional way, with their extended family and grandparents delightedly filling the bellies of their grandkids, we look at the story surrounding a different harvest in the book of Ruth this coming Sunday, and how she ended up in the lineage of Judean royalty.

Here is what you need to know for this week~

Events:
1. Newcomer Interviews - Delay
Because of the Chuseok holiday in the coming on the first week of October, we will be delaying JCM interviews until the week after, so if you are interested in sending your children to JCM, please take note!

2. JCM Hearts to Help Project (until the end of the Year)
It is important to live out the lessons we learn! Paul advises us to practice being the kind of cheerful giver God loves, so JCM will run a charity drive lasting until the end of the year! The children will decide who will be receiving their charity money, and so practice generosity with others, and to see what it means to give with love through this project!

JCM 학부모님들,
추석 연휴를 맞이하여 인사드립니다! 긴 연휴 덕분에 많은 가정이 함께 즐거운 시간을 보내고 계실 것이라 생각합니다. 우리 JCM 가족 여러분도 올해 추석을 통해 사랑스럽고 따뜻한 추억을 하나 더 쌓으시길 바랍니다.
온 나라가 전통 방식으로 추석 명절을 보내며, 조부모님들이 손주들의 배를 든든히 채워주시는 가운데, 이번 주일에는 성경 속 또 다른 ‘추수 이야기’, 바로 룻기의 이야기를 함께 나누려 합니다. 룻이 어떻게 유다 왕가의 가계에 연결되었는지, 그리고 그 속에 담긴 하나님의 뜻을 함께 살펴보는 시간이 되길 바랍니다.

다가오는 10월 첫째 주 추석 연휴로 인해 JCM 인터뷰가 그 다음 주로 연기됩니다. 자녀를 JCM에 보내시기를 원하시는 부모님들께서는 이 점 참고해 주시기 바랍니다!

2. JCM Hearts to Help 프로젝트 (연말까지)
우리가 배운 교훈을 실천하는 것이 중요합니다! 바울이 우리에게 조언한 은혜를 즐겨 내는 자가 되기 위해 (고후 9:7) JCM은 연말까지 자선 모금 활동을 진행합니다! 아이들은 직접 자선금을 받을 사람을 결정하여 다른 사람들과 함께 관대함을 실천하고 이 프로젝트를 통해 사랑으로 베푸는 것이 무엇을 의미하는지 알게 될 것입니다!
