Dear JCM Parents,
In SaRang church, many families participate in infant baptism, dedicating their children and making a covenant before the Lord for their children to be raised faithfully under God’s grace. But when they reach a point in life with full conviction in their beliefs, that is when they choose to undergo baptism. They confess their sin, salvation through Jesus, accept the Holy Spirit, and become a true part of the church community.
Then why was Jesus baptized? The children will learn this week that Jesus’ baptism did not need the forgiveness of sin, but represented the affirmation of his identity as the Son of God, the symbol of the beginning of his ministry, and his obedience to God as an example for all to follow.

We are in the final stretch before the VBS coming up next week! Parents, we continue to ask for your prayers for a safe, successful, and anointed VBS, and we will let you know soon what you need to prepare for the trip!

JCM 학부모님들,
사랑의교회에서는 많은 가정들이 유아세례에 참여하여 자녀를 하나님께 드리고, 하나님의 은혜 아래 신실하게 키우겠다는 언약을 주님 앞에서 맺습니다. 그러나 자녀가 자신의 믿음을 확신하는 시점에 이르면, 그때 세례를 받기로 선택합니다. 그들은 자신의 죄를 고백하고, 예수님을 통한 구원을 받고, 성령님을 영접하고, 교회 공동체의 참된 일원이 됩니다.
그렇다면 예수님은 왜 세례를 받으셨을까요? 아이들은 이번 주에 예수님의 세례가 죄 사함을 위한 것이 아니라, 하나님의 아들이라는 정체성을 확증하는 사건이었고, 사역의 시작을 알리는 상징이었으며, 모든 사람이 따라야 할 하나님의 뜻에 대한 순종의 본이었음을 배우게 될 것입니다.
