October 20th, 2024 JCM Letter to Parents

Dear JCM Parents,
Often the church emphasizes Jesus’ title as the Lamb of God, but to understand the importance of this title means to know what the Old Testament sacrifices were all about. It is easy to gloss over, especially when nearly the whole book of Leviticus is very meticulous about all the different procedures for different types of sacrifices, in the end, the bottom line is that because God is holy, He required sacrifices from the Israelites to pay for sin. But while those sacrifices needed to be without physical blemishes, only the blood from the Lamb of God was good and perfect enough to save everyone from sin, once and for all.

Here is what you need to know for tomorrow (3 items)!
1. Bookmark the Bible!
Parents and guardians, we ask you to help get the children to look up and bookmark the bible passage before the JCM Sunday service begins! For this Sunday’s lesson, we ask the children to bookmark Leviticus 1:1-5, 9!

2. !IMPORTANT! Oct 27th Service Time Change!
In consideration of the Multi-Denominational Combined Service set on Oct 27th, on that day, JCM will be one of many ministries in the SaRang church that will be moving up its Sunday service schedule by an hour, to 11 AM. Bible Study classes are also canceled, so service is expected to end by 12 PM. Please take note and adjust your Sunday plans accordingly, thank you!

3. JCM Service Time Change for 2025
In 2025, JCM will change its service time from 12:10 PM to 10 AM, for the betterment of our JCM families and the English ministries. This change will occur at the beginning of the year (Jan. 5th) , though the end of the winter semester for JCM will be at the end of January. For parents whose children are attending both JCM and the Korean Sunday schools, please take note of this change to your plans for next year!

JCM 부모님께,
교회는 종종 하나님의 어린양이라는 예수님의 타이틀을 강조하지만, 이 타이틀의 중요성을 이해하려면 구약의 제사가 무엇인지 알아야 합니다. 특히 레위기 전체가 다양한 종류의 제사에 대한 여러가지 절차에 대해 매우 세심하게 설명되어 있기 때문에 간과하기 쉽지만, 결국 결론은 하나님은 거룩하시기 때문에 이스라엘 백성에게 죄의 대가를 치르기 위해 제사를 요구하셨다는 것입니다. 그러나 제사 제물은 신체적 흠이 없어야 했지만, 하나님의 어린양의 피만이 모든 사람을 죄에서 단번에 구원할 수 있을 만큼 선하고 완전했습니다.

내일 꼭 알아주셔야 할 내용은 다음과 같습니다 (총3개)~

부모님과 보호자 여러분, JCM 주일 예배가 시작되기 전에 아이들이 성경 구절을 찾아 북마크할 수 있도록 많은 도움을 부탁드립니다! 이번 주일에는 <레위기 1:1-5, 9> 을 북마크에 추가하도록 해주세요!

2.!중요! 10월 27일 예배 시간 변경!
10월 27일에 예정된 10.27 한국교회 2백만 연합예배 고려하여, 당일 JCM은 사랑교회 내 여러 사역 중 하나로 주일 예배 시간을 오전 11시로 한 시간 앞당길 예정입니다. 성경공부 수업도 취소되어 오후 12시에 예배가 종료될 예정입니다. 참고하셔서 주일 계획을 조정해 주시기 바랍니다, 감사합니다!

3. 2025 JCM 서비스 시간 변경
2025년에는 JCM 가족들과 영어 사역을 위해 예배 시간을 오후 12시 10분에서 오전 10시로 변경할 예정입니다. 이 변경은 연초에 시행될 예정이지만 JCM의 겨울 학기는 1월 말에 끝납니다. 자녀가 JCM과 한국어 주일학교에 모두 다니고 있는 부모님들은 내년 계획을 세울 때 이 변경 사항을 참고하시기 바랍니다!
