November 3rd, 2024 JCM Letter to Parents

Dear JCM Parents,
Between the relations people have with each other, there are underlying promises that people strive to keep. In Confucianism, one of the five important relationships is between the parent and the child, where the parent loves and cares for the child, and that love is returned with filial piety. Similarly, God reminds His people of their covenant with Him, that if they give their all to him and remember what God has done for them, He will be theirs and they will be His. Though the Israelites could not keep the covenant, we are reminded that our relationship with God is not based on just obedience, but faith as well.
JCM continues to pray for each one of our JCM families, for the physical and spiritual growth the children in Christ, and God’s protection of the whole family as well!

Here is what you need to know for tomorrow (3 items)!
1. Bookmark the Bible!
Parents and guardians, we ask you to help get the children to look up and bookmark the bible passage before the JCM Sunday service begins! For this Sunday’s lesson, we ask the children to bookmark Deuteronomy 6:1-7;20-25!

2. JCM Service Time Change for 2025
In 2025, JCM will change its service time from 12:10 PM to 10 AM, for the betterment of our JCM families and the English ministries. This change will occur at the beginning of the year (Jan. 5th) , though the end of the winter semester for JCM will be at the end of January. For parents whose children are attending both JCM and the Korean Sunday schools, please take note of this change to your plans for next year!

3. Newcomer Interviews
If you want your child to join JCM, please inform the teachers at the front desk to apply, and have your child attend the JCM service! The children will be interviewed after the service is over!

2024년 11월3일 JCM 부모님 안내문

JCM 부모님께,
사람과 사람이 맺는 관계에는 서로 지키려고 노력하는 기본적인 약속이 있습니다. 유교에서는 부모가 자식을 사랑하고 보살피며, 그 사랑은 효로 보답하는 부모와 자식 간의 관계를 다섯 가지 관계 중 하나로 꼽습니다. 마찬가지로 하나님께서는 이스라엘 백성이 하나님께 모든 것을 바치고 하나님께서 그들을 위해 행하신 일을 기억하면 하나님은 그들의 것이 되고 그들은 하나님의 것이 될 것이라는 언약을 상기시켜 주십니다. 비록 이스라엘 백성은 언약을 지키지 못했지만, 현제 우리와 하나님과의 관계는 순종만이 아니라 믿음에 기초한다는 것을 상기시켜 줍니다.
JCM은 JCM 가족 한 사람 한 사람을 위해, 그리스도 안에서 자녀들의 영육간의 성장과 온 가족을 향한 하나님의 보호를 위해 계속 기도하고 있습니다!!

부모님과 보호자 여러분, JCM 주일 예배가 시작되기 전에 아이들이 성경 구절을 찾아 북마크할 수 있도록 많은 도움을 부탁드립니다! 이번 주일에는 <신명기 6:1-7;20-25> 을 북마크에 추가하도록 해주세요!

2. 2025 JCM 서비스 시간 변경
2025년에는 JCM 가족들과 영어 사역을 위해 예배 시간을 오후 12시 10분에서 오전 10시로 변경할 예정입니다. 이 변경은 연초에 시행될 예정이지만 JCM의 겨울 학기는 1월 말에 끝납니다. 자녀가 JCM과 한국어 주일학교에 모두 다니고 있는 부모님들은 내년 계획을 세울 때 이 변경 사항을 참고하시기 바랍니다!

3. 2. 신인 인터뷰
자녀가 JCM에 참여하기를 원하시면 프런트 데스크의 선생님에게 신청하고 자녀가 JCM 서비스에 참석하도록 하세요! 면접은 예배 후 진행됩니다!
