November 24th, 2024 JCM Letter to Parents

Dear JCM Parents,
It is easy for us to complain and forget the good we already have in our lives. But to turn against God and think that God was holding out on them resulted in dire consequences for the Israelites in the story of the bronze serpent. This week, the children will learn from the Bible that The Israelites' complaining got them into trouble, but God was there to save them too. We pray for all our JCM families this week, that we can live each day comforted by the knowledge that God cares for us and is there to protect us!

Here is what you need to know for tomorrow (5 items)!
1. Bookmark the Bible!
Parents and guardians, we ask you to help get the children to look up and bookmark the bible passage before the JCM Sunday service begins! For this Sunday’s service, we ask the children to bookmark Numbers 21:4-9!

2. JCM Service Time Change for 2025
In 2025, JCM will change its service time from 12:10 PM to 10 AM, for the betterment of our JCM families and the English ministries. This change will occur at the beginning of the year (Jan. 5th), though the end of the winter semester for JCM will be at the end of January. For parents whose children are attending both JCM and the Korean Sunday schools, please take note of this change for your 2025 plans!

3. JCM Annual Bible Feast Notice
The final (and bigger) Bible Feast for JCM 2024 will be held a bit early this year, on December 1st, 2024! We hope to see the results of craving the Word of God into the children’s hearts! Those who wish to print out their own copy of the verses may find them at the following link!

4. JCM Christmas Talent Show Signups
Christmas Talent Show signups are open, and the show itself will be on December 22nd, 2024! Be it singing, drawing, or pulling off some serious moves on stage, we invite the JCM children wo show just how wonderfully God has created them!

5. JCM 2025 Kids Praise Team Audition Applications open!
We will hold praise team auditions for this year on December. 29th! This is open to all future 3-5th graders! For online registration, please fill out the form below!

JCM 부모님께,
우리는 불평하고 이미 우리 삶에 있는 좋은 것들을 잊어버리기 쉽습니다. 그러나 하나님을 등지는 것은 청동 뱀 이야기에서 이스라엘 백성에게 끔찍한 결과를 초래했습니다. 이번 주에 아이들은 성경을 통해 불평이 그들을 곤경에 빠뜨렸지만 하나님께서 다시 한 번 그들을 구해 주셨다는 것을 배우게 될 것입니다. 하나님께서 우리를 돌보시고 보호해 주신다는 사실에 위로를 받으며 하루하루를 살아갈 수 있도록 이번 주에도 모든 JCM 가족을 위해 기도합니다!

1. 주일말씀 미리 찾기
부모님과 보호자 여러분, JCM 주일 예배가 시작되기 전에 아이들이 성경 구절을 찾아 북마크할 수 있도록 많은 도움을 부탁드립니다! 이번 주일에는 <민수기 21:4-9> 을 북마크에 추가하도록 해주세요!

2. 2025 JCM 서비스 시간 변경
2025년에는 JCM 가족들과 영어 사역을 위해 예배 시간을 오후 12시 10분에서 오전 10시로 변경할 예정입니다. 이 변경은 연초에 시행될 예정이지만 JCM의 겨울 학기는 1월 말에 끝납니다. 자녀가 JCM과 한국어 주일학교에 모두 다니고 있는 부모님들은 내년 계획을 세울 때 이 변경 사항을 참고하시기 바랍니다!

3. JCM 연례 바이블 페스트 공지
JCM 2024의 마지막 (그리고 더 큰) 바이블 페스트가 올해 조금 일찍, 2024년 12월 1일에 열릴 예정입니다! 여기에는 아이들이 일 년 동안 외운 모든 테마 구절과 올해의 연간 구절인 고린도전서 13장 전체가 포함될 것입니다! 다음 달에 아이들의 마음에 하나님의 말씀을 갈망하는 결과를 볼 수 있기를 기대합니다! 구절을 직접 인쇄하고 싶은 분들은 다음 링크에서 구절을 찾을 수 있습니다!
