March 30th, 2025 JCM Letter to Parents

Dear JCM Parents,
Our hearts go out to the people whose lives were upended by the wildfires, and to the firefighters and other rescuers working around the clock to battle the fires that still burn now. As we lift them up in our prayers, let this also be a time to help the children that are affected by hearing the news as well: take the time to address the issue with them, be it through questions, prayer, and/or other forms of expression that will help them see that God’s love and care can shine through even in difficult times.

Here is what you need to know for this Sunday (3 items)~
1. Bookmark the Bible!
Parents and guardians, we ask you to help the children prepare for JCM by bookmarking the Bible passage we will read this week! For this Sunday’s service, we will read Romans 12:9-18!

2. JCM Outdoor Easter Event!
This year, JCM plans to hold its Easter service at Montmarte Park, not too far from the church! This is an opportunity to tie the joy of Christ risen with all the sensations of life that nature has to offer us, and have the children understand that Easter is not just a Sunday Service, but something for us to celebrate with all of our hearts! This event requires extra time and preparations from both JCM and our JCM parents, so we will include a detailed paper handout for the children to take home this Sunday! We pray that this year’s Easter will be one the children will remember!

3. JCM DT Notice (Final call!)
4th and 5th Grade JCM kids are eligible to participate in JCM’s Discipleship Training for the Spring semester! The children will explore what the Armor of God is, and how to wear it in their lives too! The training will last from the beginning of April to the end of May, and be held on Saturday mornings! 2025년 3월30일 JCM 부모님 안내문

JCM 부모님께,
산불로 인해 삶의 터전을 잃은 주민들과 지금도 여전히 타오르는 불길과 싸우기 위해 밤낮없이 일하는 소방관 및 기타 구조대원들에게 위로의 마음을 전합니다. 우리가 기도로 그들을 위로하는 동시에, 이 소식을 듣고 영향을 받은 어린이들에게도 도움을 줄 수 있는 시간이 되기를 바랍니다. 어려운 시기에도 하나님의 사랑과 보살핌이 빛을 발할 수 있다는 것을 깨닫게 해줄 질문, 기도, 또는 다른 형태의 표현을 통해 아이들과 함께 이 문제에 대해 생각해보는 시간을 가져주세요.

이번 주일에 알아야 할 내용은 다음과 같습니다 (총3개)~
1. 주일말씀 미리 찾기
부모님과 보호자 여러분, 이번 주에 읽을 성경 구절을 북마크해서 아이들이 JCM을 준비할 수 있도록 도와주세요! 이번 주일 예배에서는 <로마서 12:9-18> 읽을 것입니다!

2. JCM 야외 부활절 행사!
올해 JCM은 교회에서 멀지 않은 몽마르뜨 공원에서 부활절 예배를 진행할 예정입니다! 이것은 부활하신 그리스도의 기쁨을 자연이 우리에게 제공하는 모든 생명의 감각과 연결시키고, 부활절이 단순한 주일 예배가 아니라 우리가 온 마음을 다해 축하해야 할 날이라는 것을 아이들에게 알려줄 수 있는 기회입니다! 이 행사는 JCM과 JCM 부모님 모두의 시간과 준비가 필요하므로 이번 주일에 아이들이 집에 가져갈 자세한 종이 안내문을 포함할 것입니다! 올해 부활절은 아이들이 기억할 수 있는 부활절이 되기를 기도합니다!

3. JCM의 제자 훈련 알림
4학년과 5학년 JCM 어린이들은 봄 학기 JCM의 제자 훈련에 참여할 수 있습니다! 아이들은 하나님의 갑옷이 무엇인지, 그리고 삶에서 어떻게 입는지 탐구할 것입니다! 훈련은 4월 초부터 5월 말까지 진행되며, 토요일 오전에 진행됩니다! 관심이 있으신 분들은 아래 링크에서 자세한 내용을 확인하실 수 있습니다:
