Dear JCM Parents,

We hope that you and your family have enjoyed the past week, and had time to enjoy the summer weather together! As for what the children will learn in JCM this week – will start off with a question first: What can you compare the body of Christ, the church to? Paul described it as a body with different parts, but another analogy for the children is the beloved sport of baseball. As a game best played when the players do their best in their assigned positions, the children will see another way of how the church is not made up just one kind of person, but many people with many gifts, who gather together to make Sundays not just any day, but a special day where we worship and learn about God through the Bible together.

1. VBS sign-ups closing soon! While the actual retreat will be held on August 22nd & 23rd, the registration period will end on Monday, August 3rd, so please don’t forget to sign up if you haven’t already!

2026년 8월2일 JCM 부모님 안내

JCM 학부모님들,
지난 한 주 동안 가족과 함께 즐거운 시간을 보내시고 여름의 따뜻한 날씨도 만끽하셨기를 바랍니다! 이번 주 JCM에서 아이들이 배우게 될 말씀은 먼저 이런 질문으로 시작합니다: 그리스도의 몸, 곧 교회를 무엇에 비유할 수 있을까요?
바울은 교회를 여러 부분으로 이루어진 몸에 비유했지만, 아이들에게는 친근한 스포츠인 야구를 또 하나의 예로 들어 설명하려 합니다. 야구는 각 선수가 맡은 자리에서 최선을 다할 때 가장 잘 진행되는 경기입니다. 마찬가지로 교회도 한 가지 모습의 사람만으로 이루어진 것이 아니라, 다양한 은사와 재능을 가진 많은 사람들이 모여 함께 예배하고 성경을 배우며 특별한 주일을 만들어 갑니다.
