April 7th, 2024 JCM Letter to Parents

Dear JCM Parents,
May the blessings of Special Dawn Service this week be felt by all our JCM families! Such events often serve as a trigger to help us take a step back, recalibrate, and refresh our spiritual life! We pray for all of our JCM families, so that the whole family can grow together in Christ!

Here is what you need to know for tomorrow (total: 6 points)~

1. Bookmark the Bible!
Parents and guardians, we ask you to help get the children to look up and bookmark the bible passage before the JCM Sunday service begins! This Sunday’s lesson will be reading the following verse: Luke 24:36-49.

2. JCM Schedule for April
April 7th - Newcomer Interview
April 14th - JCM Parent-Teacher Meeting, Last day for Art Contest submissions
April 28th - SaRang’s All Generational Sunday Service, NO JCM SERVICE

3. JCM Parent-Teacher Meeting
Do you have any questions about JCM? See what it will do this year? Want to know what the church can do to help your children stand firm in Christ? We will be having a parent-teaching meeting on April 14th, 1:30 pm to address those needs!

4. SaRang Church's Sunday School Art Contest for 2024
JCM is participating in the Sunday School Art Contest held by SaRang church this year! The details of the contest information are available in Korean (simply scroll below), but for those who find Korean difficult, here is a summary in English:

Contest Themes (Pick ONE of THREE below):
1. SaRang Church united in the 2033-50 Vision (50% Christians in Korea by 2033)!
2. A little Deacon(ness) that loves the church
3. My Family as members of the 7000 Prayer Warriors

The organizers are looking to see unique and creative submissions!

Material permitted: all coloring materials are permitted (crayons, watercolor, pastels, etc.) but cannot be in 3d form (ex. sculptures) and must be done on the poster paper provided by the ministry only! (Can collect in person tomorrow)

The submission period (to be submitted directly to JCM) is from March 24 to April 14. There is no participation fee, and again, participants must submit their posters to JCM! The contest results will be announced on April 28th, and the finalist pieces will be part of an exhibition at the SaRang Art Gallery (South Tower, B5) during the whole month of May! (May 1st - June 2nd )

5. Newcomer Bible Study Interviews
To become a full member of JCM, children must pass an interview available on the first Sunday of every month (April 7th). The test consists of checking basic English comprehension, and once passed, the children will be registered in Bible Study groups. If interested, please come with your child and register with a teacher at the front desk before service starts, and please know beforehand that space is limited!

6. Regarding the Children’s Devotionals
As part of instilling a habit of spending time with God every day, we encourage the children to look through devotionals on a daily basis. If you have not done so yet, please make sure to purchase the devotionals we have available onsite!

이번 주 특별새벽부흥기도회의 축복이 모든 JCM 가족들에게 전해지기를 바랍니다! 이러한 행사는 종종 우리가 한 걸음 물러나서 영적으로 재조정하고 영적 삶을 새롭게 하는 계기가 됩니다! 온 가족이 그리스도 안에서 함께 성장할 수 있도록 모든 JCM 가족을 위해 기도합니다!

1. 주일말씀 미리 찾기
부모님과 보호자 여러분, JCM 주일 예배가 시작되기 전에 아이들이 성경 구절을 찾아 북마크할 수 있도록 많은 도움을 부탁드립니다! 이번 주일의 말씀은 <누가복음 24:36-49> 입니다!

JCM에 대해 궁금한점이 있나요? 올해 행사들은 무엇인지 궁금하세요? 자녀가 그리스도 안에 굳게 서도록 돕기 위해 교회가 무엇을 할 수 있는지 알고 싶으십니까? 이러한 요구 사항을 해결하기 위해 4월 14일 (시간은 오후1:30분) 학부모 교육 회의를 가질 예정입니다!

4. 2024 사랑의교회 주일학교 그림대회
저희 JCM을 통해서 주일학교 그림대회에 참여 가능합니다!
a. 공모 개요
- 공모주제 : 아래 3가지 중 택일
1. '2033-50' 비전으로 하나된 사랑의교회
2. 우리는 교회를 사랑하는 '어린이 집사'
3. 우리 가정은 7천 기도용사
- 공모내용: 창의적이고 독창적인 작품
- 공모부분: 평면화(수채화, 크레파스화, 파스텔화 등)
- 공모기간: 2024년 3월 34일(주일) ~ 4월 14일(주일)

b. 제출사항
-출품규격: 8절 도화지
-용지배부: JCM에서 배부 예정 (문화예술사역부 제공 용지 사용 필수)

- 출품료: 없음
- 접수: 개별접수 없음(각부 담당 사역자 일괄 접수)/ 2024년 4월 14일(주일) 까지
- 접수처 사랑의교회 문화예술사역부 사랑아트갤러리(각부 담당사역자 취합 접수)

5. Newcomer 성경 공부 인터뷰
JCM의 정회원이 되려면 매월 첫째 주 일요일(이번에는 4월 7일)에 진행되는 면접을 통과해야 합니다. 이 시험은 기본적인 영어 이해력을 확인하는 것으로 구성되며, 통과하면 성경 공부 그룹에 등록됩니다. 관심 있으신 분은 자녀와 함께 오셔서 예배 시작 전에 프런트 데스크에서 교사에게 등록해 주시고, 자리가 한정되어 있으니 미리 양해 부탁드립니다!

6. 어린이 QT책에 관하여
매일 하나님과 함께 시간을 보내는 습관을 심어주기 위한 일환으로, 어린이들이 매일 묵상집을 살펴보도록 권장합니다. 아직 묵상집을 구입하지 않으셨다면, 현장에서 구할 수 있는 QT책을 꼭 구입해 주세요!
